Congratulations to Aidan Song ’24 on being selected to represent the Canadian National Fencing Team, being the youngest fencer on the Canadian National Team. Aidan was selected to represent Canada at the Cadet European Circuit in Godollo, Hungary, in November, 2025, participating in the Men’s Individual and Team Sabre events hosted by the European Fencing Confederation.
Aidan comments, “St. Thomas’s day School prepared me for my success by giving me a strong foundation. Whether it was the teachers or the classmates, I always learned something valuable and important that I would use in real life. Because of the supportive community St Thomas’s gave me, I learned the importance of determination, curiosity, and perseverance. These valuable lessons guided me through my fencing journey and brought me here today. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to experience St Thomas’s supportive community and the strong influence it has on my journey.”
