Parents Are Our Close Partners

St. Thomas’s Community Association Mission & Purpose

The mission of the St. Thomas’s Community Association is to promote family involvement in support of the school’s visions, programs, and activities. The purpose of the Community Association is to enrich the student experience and foster a collaborative relationship between the school and families.

Family involvement is crucial for all schools, especially small, private schools like St. Thomas’s. The partnership between home and school creates feelings of connection and belonging, which are essential for a student’s success. Family members serve as role models for students as they give back to the St. Thomas’s community by getting involved and contributing their time, energy, and resources. Community collaboration also enables teachers to create fun, meaningful experiences that enrich students’ lives and provide a lifetime of joyous memories.

The St. Thomas’s Community Association consists of five committees and a room representative for each grade. Families are encouraged to join at least one committee and donate a minimum of five hours of service each year. In addition to the committees listed below, additional opportunities for engagement will be available throughout the school year for the Book Fair, Field Day, Gym Night, etc. We will reach out in advance of these events.

  • Social Committee
  • Teacher Appreciation Committee
  • Elves’ Workshop Committee
