Abeel A. Mangi, MD, P'27 and '28, is the chief of cardiac surgery for Nuvance Health and prior to this role, he was chief of cardiac surgery at Medstar Health in Washington, DC. He has founded two companies in the healthcare space, written extensively about his research in cardiac surgery and value in health care. He has trained several dozen cardiac surgeons. He and his family have lived in Guilford for the past 16 years, from when he was a Professor at the Yale Medical School. The family is very involved with several charitable organizations within the community.
