Several times a week, students at St. Thomas’s Day School visit the Science Lab to explore, ask questions, and conduct experiments as they interact with the natural and man-made world. Following the Next Generation Science Standards, the program helps students build a solid foundation for understanding higher-level science. Hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology. Engineering, Art, and Math) activities are woven throughout, providing students opportunities to design investigations and engage in scientific reasoning. In addition, students in Grades 4-6 take science-related field trips and participate in field projects using local resources.
