Mr. Lloyd Mitchell joined St. Thomas’s Day School in July as our new Director of Operations and Finance. Lloyd comes to us as a seasoned educator and respected leader within the Connecticut independent school community. Most recently, he served for 18 years at The Unquowa School, 15 of which were as Director of Operations and IT, a tenure that speaks volumes about his dedication, impact, and the trust he has earned from those he serves.
Lloyd is excited to share his love for community and innovation with the St. Thomas’s Day School community. Lloyd believes that strong operational and technological foundations empower lifelong learners. His warm, collaborative approach encourages growth, efficiency, and a supportive environment for everyone on campus. Fostering positive relationships with educators, students, and families alike is at the center of Lloyd’s approach. Outside of school, he enjoys family life as the proud parent of two children. Lloyd earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Science degree in Education with a focus in Technology Education from Sacred Heart University.
